*21 and Able Project & Peal Center's Empowering Change Group Virtual Series - Developing a Circle of Supports*
Developed by and for parents, guardians, and caregivers of color who have children with disabilities in transition to adulthood — and welcoming everyone. Our ongoing goal is to ensure that all members of our community feel safe, valued and welcome. Working to make important progress in strengthening our ability to listen, learn, adapt, improve, challenge, change and lead.
The Empowering Change Group is committed to reaching families who are marginalized and are having issues accessing supports and services for their children, teens, young adults with disabilities. Our goal includes supporting parents, guardians and caregivers with resource information. Information that can lead to leadership opportunities, and statewide policy changes for historically marginalized and disenfranchised people.
• Invited community speakers will start the dialogue topics and conversation.
• Parents, guardians and caregivers can attend monthly meetings every 2nd Monday via zoom from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
