Buddy Walk

 

The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. Since then, it has grown into the world’s largest and most recognizable Down syndrome awareness program, with more than 250 walks taking place across the country and around the world!

The Pittsburgh Buddy Walk is DSAP's BIGGEST fundraiser of the year!  Every dollar raised helps support vital local programs, services, resources, and advocacy for people with Down syndrome and their families.

But let's be honest… the best part is the PARTY!

We're talking families, friends, music, dancing, laughter, smiles, and enough love to last until next year's walk!

It’s a day to celebrate our loved ones with Down syndrome, make new friends, cheer each other on, and show the whole city what acceptance, inclusion, and community looks like.
