Rock your mismatched socks and celebrate World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) with DSAP on Saturday, March 16, from 2-4pm at COhatch Southside Works located at 2681 Sidney St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203!

Join us with your family and come dance the afternoon away with old friends while meeting new ones! We will have a DJ, WDSD-themed activities, light refreshments, a space reserved for caregivers to connect, and a quiet sensory area away from the event space to be used if needed.

This event is for all ages. Siblings and family members are welcome to join. Please make sure when registering to include the TOTAL number of individuals attending to help us prepare.

Paid parking is available inside the Open Hearth garage next door to COhatch at 2648 Sidney Street or across the street inside the Ladle Garage. Paid street parking is also available within the Southside Works.

Please note that the event space doors will be locked. We kindly ask that you be patient as a DSAP Staff/Volunteer member unlocks the door and asks you to check in upon arrival. In order to ensure safety of our community, if you are not registered, we cannot allow you entry into the space.

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is an annual global awareness day on March 21 that has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. WDSD signifies the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which is the condition known as Down syndrome. Since the chromosomes look like socks, wear bold, brightly colored, mismatched socks. We look forward to seeing how you rock your socks!
