DSAP Speaker Series: Encouraging Literacy for All with Kayla Pavlock
The Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh (DSAP) has partnered with Therapy Works, LLC to provide a virtual Speaker Series: Encouraging Literacy and Language for All. Join us on 2/7 at 7pm for a fun and engaging evening discussing how to promote literacy development for individuals of all ages! Our speaker, Kayla Pavlock, M.S., CCC-SLP, brings a unique insight to reading acquisition through a language-based lens. She is a speech-language pathologist who is currently pursuing an additional Master's degree in reading and literacy with a reading specialist certification. She caters individualized sessions for children, adolescents, and adults to improve reading skills, comprehension, and most importantly, confidence in their abilities! Her passion is to build interest and motivation in readers, whether it be for reading readiness, academics, vocational literacy, and beyond. Attendees will build their toolkit of specific strategies they can utilize to make reading fun and functional at home, school, and socially!
You will receive the Zoom presentation link in your confirmation receipt after registering. If you have any questions, please reach out to info@dsapgh.org.
